Vi Again Brewing Brews a Chai Milk Stout with Brackish Gear
Vi Again Brewing in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture announced on Instagram that it has brewed a chai milk stout in collaboration with Brackish Gear. An off-meetup involving three parties is also scheduled for June 6.
Vi Again Brewing revealed on Instagram that it is moving ahead with brewing a chai milk stout. The partner this time is Brackish Gear, known for its black-gear aesthetic. In line with its black-themed worldview, the brewery will take on its first-ever spice beer.
Vi Again Brewing is a brewery based at the foot of Mount Fuji in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture. On its official website, it says it brews with Mount Fuji’s natural water under the theme of creating "beer you’ll want to toast with again." It works closely with campgrounds, bars, and events, and one of its defining traits is that the brewer’s personality carries directly into the spaces it helps shape.
This new release looks like a natural fit for that background. The post indicates a design that combines the aroma of chai with the richness of stout, giving it a dark-beer direction. Rather than being just a limited collaboration, it is notable for stepping into a new flavor while aligning the brands’ identities.
In addition, an off-meetup was announced for June 6 as a place to enjoy the beer early. Participation is limited to 30 people, and the event is a special three-way collaboration between Vi Again Brewing, Brackish Gear, and Breaking Down’s Oka-kun. It is being presented as a chance to enjoy two kinds of beer.
For Vi Again Brewing, this is not only an exploration of new forms of craft beer expression, but also another step in community-oriented event planning. From the brewery at the foot of Mount Fuji, attention is now on what kind of chai milk stout will emerge.
