As the second location of Shibuya's Taki, Taki~AKANE~JapaneseBeer&SakeDining, located in Dogenzaka, will operate from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday, April 25. The shop's concept is "Japanese craft beer and sake." Its hallmark is that you can enjoy food and drinks together while getting to know the stories of the brewers.

The draft lineup for the day will feature three beers: Sapporo Beer’s "Shirohonoka," Shiga Kogen Beer’s "Miyama Blonde," and Yokohama Bay Brewing’s "Bay Dark (Bohemian Dark Lager)." Shirohonoka is easy to enjoy for its fine, delicate mouthfeel; Miyama Blonde is a glass that brings out a bright malt character balanced with hops; and Bay Dark has a composition that makes it easy to imagine the roasty aroma and calm drinking character typical of a Bohemian dark lager, making it a lineup well suited to side-by-side tasting.

For the first two hours after opening, the shop offers 100 yen off as "Akane's Happy Time." Since it's set up so you can easily try the first drink, it seems like a good place to visit with a tasting flight in mind. Inside, there are snacks that go well with drinks, including fresh fish such as yellowtail, sea bream, and octopus, as well as smoked daikon pickles with sake lees cream cheese, spicy potato fries, fried oysters, plum crystal, and oyster shiokara. With a broad range of pairings including sake, this is a place suited to people who want to make beer the centerpiece while also enjoying the nuances of Japanese alcoholic drinks.
