Tap List for April 17

“BEER BAR Bitter” in Tsukudomachi, Shinjuku City, Tokyo, will be open from 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17. In its post, the bar announced a draft lineup of beers from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Japan, and Spain.

- Vedett Extra White (White / BEL)
- Gross Saturation Simcoe (Hazy IPA / ESP)
- Pilsner Urquell (Pilsner / CZE)
- Oriental Brewing Citra (IPA / Ishikawa Kanazawa)
- Bernard Dark (Czech Dark Lager / CZE)

Among them, Pilsner Urquell and Bernard Dark are said to be on draft, making this a lineup that lager fans will not want to miss. Being able to compare the Czech classic that can be considered a benchmark for pilsners with a roasted dark lager on the same day is exactly the kind of enjoyment this bar is known for.

BEER BAR Bitter is a beer pub in the Iidabashi and Kagurazaka area. Its charm lies in enjoying craft beers from around the world paired with food in a calm space up on the second floor. In this post as well, the following dishes were lined up to go with the beer.

- Meatballs simmered in carrot sauce
- Simmered bamboo shoots
- Young ginger with dried baby sardines and sakura shrimp in sansho tsukudani
- Bruschetta with firefly squid and tomato
- Cottage pie
- Pork pie
- Frites

The beer selection spans a wide range, from white beer and hazy IPA to pilsner, IPA, and dark lager, making it an easy lineup to choose from with food in mind. Those who want to start light can go for Vedett Extra White or Oriental Brewing Citra, while those who want something more substantial may want to lean toward Pilsner Urquell or Bernard Dark, which also seems to make food pairings easier.

A day to compare world classics and distinctive beers all at once in the quiet backstreets of Kagurazaka. This is a beer bar where you’ll want to follow the draft lineup and savor each glass slowly, one by one.
