BEER BAR Bitter, a beer pub in the Kagurazaka-Iidabashi area, opens at 16:00 on Friday, August 21. Its Instagram post also mentions cans of its 20th anniversary beer, giving the lineup a celebratory touch alongside the day’s draft selection.

Five beers are on tap: Vedett Extra White, a Belgian white; Burnish Festbier from the U.S.; ORDINARY, a collaboration between Boldi Good Beer and BEER BAR Bitter; OUTDOORSIE, presented as a Japanese West Coast IPA; and Jurassic Juice, a U.S. hazy IPA. The range moves naturally from a lighter wheat beer to lager, bitter, and hop-forward IPA styles, making it easy to build a full drinking session.

The food list is equally beer-friendly. Dishes include tomato-vinegar braised bone-in chicken, watermelon gazpacho, stir-fried pumpkin with sesame oil and scallion aroma, kinpira burdock with shochu fragrance, edamame with sansho, Shine Muscat with prosciutto, cottage pie, and frits. It is the kind of pub where you can settle in and keep drinking at a relaxed pace.

The shop is located at Sun Heights Iidabashi 203, 1-14 Tsukudocho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. For a beer-focused stop in Kagurazaka and Iidabashi, it is a strong option.
