Kyoto’s Beer Yumeyomi features Shirosuzume’s "Kaeri Awaji" on Thursday tap day
Beer Yumeyomi, a beer pub in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district, announced its regular Thursday “Maniac Beer Day” for July 2, featuring Shirosuzume’s new keg, “Kaeri Awaji,” while its anniversary beer “Fūri” is down to its last few liters.
On tap
On Thursday, July 2, Beer Yumeyomi in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district ran its regular “Maniac Beer Day” from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The featured new keg was Shirosuzume’s `Kaeri Awaji`, a fruit ale built around Naruto orange from Awaji Island. The bar describes it as a balanced Belgian-style blond ale, brewed with a slightly lower ABV than the previous year and a small amount of Awaji sea salt as a subtle seasoning note. The post also recalls `A LONG VACATION`, another Shirosuzume beer that previously used the same citrus.
Also available was the anniversary beer `Fūri`, with about 3 liters left on draft before switching to 15 small bottles. Brewed by Noroshi Brewing, Fūri is described as a Belgian white with elderflower character.
Beer Yumeyomi says the beers are best enjoyed in its calm interior, alongside a small selection of regular food dishes, making this a quiet night for people who want to follow the beer’s background as much as its flavor.
