Draft lineup

Jibeer Bar Marumugi, a compact beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, shared its craft beer menu for June 17. The bar is on the second floor of Ichibankan Building, within walking distance of Yotsuya-sanchome Station, and its draw is a rotating selection of draft beers with distinct styles.

- Pilsner / Mojiko Retro Beer (Fukuoka) 5.0%
- Itsu no Juu / NO.10 IPA / Shiga Kogen Beer (Nagano) 7.5% +100 yen
- Hoppy Weizen / Minoh Beer (Osaka) 5.0% +100 yen
- Shizuoka Summer Mikan Ale / Baird Brewing (Shizuoka) 5.0% +100 yen
- Third Wave Porter / VECTOR BEER (Tokyo) 4.0% +100 yen

The pilsner is described as a crisp, pleasantly bitter beer that works well as a first pour. Shiga Kogen's Itsu no Juu / NO.10 IPA comes in at 7.5% and is presented as powerful yet light on its feet. Minoh's Hoppy Weizen leans into bright fruit aroma, while Baird Brewing's Shizuoka Summer Mikan Ale brings a citrusy summer-orange character to the glass. For darker beer fans, VECTOR BEER's Third Wave Porter adds coffee-like aroma and is introduced as being refreshing despite its color.

The standard pricing is JPY 1,200 plus extra for the large size and JPY 900 plus extra for the small size, with some beers marked at an additional JPY 100. The selection spans crisp pilsner bitterness, hop-driven IPA intensity, aromatic wheat beer, citrus ale, and a lighter-style porter, giving drinkers plenty of room to compare styles side by side.

Notice

Marumugi has been closed on Tuesdays and public holidays since December 5, 2024. The post also announces a July 4 event featuring an original beer produced by kataribe storyteller Hinomaru Kanda. The event pairs a coffee-scented special beer with the performance Yotsuya Kaidan, along with a visit to Oiwa Inari Tamiya Shrine.
