A varied tap list for the changing season

Craft beer TOCA in Inokashira, Mitaka, has introduced its current tap list as the pub gradually shifts its food and beer selection toward autumn. The pub notes that the list will continue to change as seasonal ingredients come in.

Craft Bank Brewing anchors the lineup with five different styles: BANK LAGER, a pilsner; KEYAKI ENGLISH IPL; LAB COAST, a grisette brewed with green tea; BITTER BUG, a best bitter with black beans; and BANK IPA, a West Coast IPA. Together, they offer a broad look at the brewery’s range, from crisp and restrained to hop-forward and malt-driven.

Other highlights include LUCHA from Cycad Brewing, a saison with hibiscus and key lime; Gimmie Shelter from Wuchawteng Brew, a British Golden Ale; and Rippin from Sunriver Brewing, a Northwest Pale Ale.

For drinkers looking for fruit and acidity, Bellwoods Brewery’s Jelly King Passionfruit Orange Guava is listed as a fruited sour. Nomcraft Brewing contributes Human’s Drink, a dip-hop IPA, while Flora Fermentation’s Charun brings a hazy IPA to the taps. Darker options include Swan Lake Porter from Swan Lake Beer.

The list also includes a keg-draft junmai ginjo sake from Kikusui Sake Brewery. Food options range from potato salad with pepperoni, zucchini, and cheddar to fried chicken seasoned with lemongrass and sansho. A sansho mapo eggplant keema curry and other creative small plates provide plenty of pairing possibilities.

With rotating taps, seasonal ingredients, and a relaxed beer-pub setting, Craft beer TOCA offers a thoughtful stop for exploring different beer styles in Mitaka. Availability may change, so guests should check the current board when visiting.
