The beer pub "Want a Beer" in Motoimaizumi, Utsunomiya City, announced its tap list for service on April 3, 15:00 to 23:00 (L.O. 22:00). Reservations are accepted through the LINE link in its profile.

On the food side that day, the lineup centers on seafood and vegetables, including spring rolls with oysters and house-made semi-dried tomatoes, tagliata of heifer chuck flap, carpaccio of Bungo wild red sea bream from Oita with blood orange, carpaccio of bonito from Kagoshima, and fried medaka with lemon mayo. Also on offer are fried firefly squid, marinara pizza, spaghetti, and confit of gizzard, making it an easy menu to pair with different beer styles.

The beers are six selections with clear citrus, fruit, and hop character.

Tap List

- Fiction / Hop Kotan
- West Coast Pale Ale
- ABV 6.0%
- A gently bitter beer layered with tropical and juicy notes through double dry hopping.
- Hidden Tresure XPA / Shiokaze Brewing
- XPA
- ABV 5.5%
- A brisk finish where fruitiness and herbal notes intersect, keeping it easy to drink without becoming tiresome.
- Fruit Basket IPA / Romantic Village
- West Coast IPA
- ABV 6.0%
- A single-hop IPA made with the popular hop Citra, distinguished by bright aromas reminiscent of grapefruit and lime.
- Ruby / Karuizawa Q
- Fruits Ale
- ABV 5.0%
- A fruit ale made with raspberries and blueberries, offering soft acidity and a light, easy-drinking texture.
- Meguri / Karuizawa Q
- Yuzu Saison
- ABV 6.0%
- A saison layered with yuzu aroma, leaving a refreshing citrus impression and restrained bitterness in the finish.
- Moonwalk / THE KICHI
- West Coast Pilsner
- ABV 5.6%
- A Want a Beer collaboration original beer. It carries citrus and piney aromas, then finishes cleanly.

Because the food and beer directions line up well, it would make sense to start with the three West Coast-style beers to enjoy the hop profile, then shift toward the fruit character of Ruby and Meguri later on. Pairing them with seafood carpaccio, spring rolls, and oyster dishes should make it easy to balance brightness and umami.

A day where a beer-pub-style tap lineup meets spring-like food. If you're drinking craft beer in Utsunomiya, this is a lineup worth remembering.
