Ebir Brew Studio, a brewery and taproom in Sumiyoshi Higashimachi, Higashinada-ku, Kobe, opened in April 2024. In its July calendar post, the brewery outlined several events scheduled for the second half of the month.

The main feature is a three-day event from July 18 to 20 to celebrate the release of a new Kölsch. Titled “Kölsch × Köln — Everyday Life in Cologne, Germany, Tasted in Kobe’s Higashinada,” the event is a collaboration with Bakery Köln, a long-established Kobe bakery. The brewery says it will serve Kölsch in a style inspired by Cologne, with small glasses refilled until guests place a coaster on top as a sign to stop. It will also offer bread-and-beer pairings, including a dish built around the bakery’s recommended loaf, Karada Mugi Biyori. The baker and developer behind the bread is also scheduled to visit on July 18 around 6:00 p.m.

Other July plans announced in the post include the Sumiyoshigawa plogging session on July 19 at 11:00 a.m., Sushi Pairing Night on July 24 at 6:00 p.m., and Beer Yoga on July 31 at 7:00 p.m. Regular menu items and other beers will remain available, and reservations are not required, though the brewery recommends booking if guests want to secure a table.

Ebir Brew Studio’s regular hours are weekdays from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and weekends and holidays from noon to 11:00 p.m. The brewery’s July schedule shows how it continues to combine beer, food, and local community programming in its taproom operations.
