Kichijoji's P2B Haus to Start Serving Nitro Beer on April 4, Featuring Uchouten Brewing and Let's Beer Works
P2B Haus in Kichijoji announced that it will begin serving nitro beer from 12:00 to 21:00 on April 4. The first nitro slot will feature Uchouten Brewing's "dollar dollar bill yal-3" and Sankt Gallen's springtime "Sakura," and a total of 12 beers were on tap that day.
P2B Haus is a craft beer restaurant located behind Kichijoji Tokyu. The shop, which has 12 taps and offers a broad lineup from domestic staples to limited casks, announced the start of nitro beer service in its April 4, 12:00-21:00 announcement. Tap.1 will basically be operated as the nitro slot going forward.
The headline beer of the day was Uchouten Brewing's "dollar dollar bill yal-3" (Best Bitter). The post explains that by serving the beer with nitrogen gas mixed in, drinkers can enjoy a creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Also newly tapped was Sankt Gallen's "Sakura" (Sakura Ale), made with cherry blossoms and leaves. With its spring-like aroma and soft finish, it offers a seasonal choice distinct from the usual nitro staple.
The day's tap list, including the nitro pour, was as follows.
- Uchouten Brewing "dollar dollar bill yal-3" (Best Bitter)
- Let's Beer Works "Mild Quest" (Dark Mild)
- P2B "CTO IPA" (American IPA)
- Hop Kotan "Seiran" (Cold IPA)
- Knot "NORA" (Rye IPA)
- NOMCRAFT "Island Grove" (Okinawa Mango Ale)
- KUNITACHI "Kabu" (American IPA)
- BLACK TIDE "Bell Ringer" (Fruit Hazy IPA)
- KUNITACHI "Immer da (Imma-da) w/ Komuro Beer" (Kölsch)
- Kanpai "Ichozaka" (Hazy IPA)
- Sankt Gallen "Sakura" (Sakura Ale)
- Wolfbräu "Pilsner" (Pilsner)
P2B Haus is known for creating a space that is open to both seasoned craft beer drinkers and people who want to start trying it. With the introduction of nitro, the differences in cask character, foam, and mouthfeel are now easier to notice. For anyone who wants to enjoy beer with food, this is one Kichijoji spot worth checking out.
