A new local release
Beto Coco Brewing in Awara, Fukui, has announced SUNNY BEE Can, a new canned release. According to the brewery's post, the beer is a collaboration with Bee Life Colony in Awara and is made with honey.
Beto Coco Brewing opened in 2023 as a small brewery in Awara City. The brewery focuses on IPA and other beers that often incorporate local ingredients such as fruit and honey. With a taproom attached, it serves beer on site and also offers cans for takeaway. SUNNY BEE Can fits naturally into that approach.
Sold out at the shop, still available on tap
The post says the shop allocation of SUNNY BEE Can has already sold out, while tap and growler portions are still available. That gives drinkers two ways to enjoy the beer: fresh on site, or packaged to take home.
The brewery is run by Ito Jitsuo and Misaki, a husband-and-wife team originally from Awara. After discovering craft beer in New York, they returned home and built a brewery rooted in their local community. SUNNY BEE Can is another example of that local connection, pairing Awara-made beer with ingredients and partners from the same area.
