Nomimonoya, a beer pub in Busshozan, Takamatsu, has announced a new guest-beer arrival from Tsugaru Brewing. The two beers on offer are Tsugaru Lager and Tsugaru IPA, both built around ingredients and drinkability.

Tsugaru Lager comes in at 5.0% ABV and 19 IBU. It is a rice lager made with rice from Aomori, designed to be dry, crisp, and easy to keep drinking. The grist uses Pilsner malt, and Hallertau Mittelfruh is listed as the hop choice. It looks like a clean, food-friendly lager that works as a first pour or alongside a meal.

Tsugaru IPA is 6.0% ABV and 44 IBU. Brewed with Pilsner malt, wheat, and five hops - Warrior, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, Idaho 7, and Strata - it leans into a more expressive aroma and a firmer bitterness while still keeping an approachable balance. Like the lager, it also incorporates local rice, giving the beer a regional character without making it heavy.

For drinkers in Kagawa, this is a neat chance to compare two different expressions of Tsugaru Brewing at Nomimonoya.
