Beer pub taki in Sakuragaoka, Shibuya, will tap “Time After Thyme” on September 10, 2026, as part of its 15th-anniversary celebrations. The beer is a collaboration between DD4D BREWING and musician Scott Murphy.

Classified as a Citrus and Spice IPA, “Time After Thyme” has an ABV of 7.0% and 25 IBU. Kawachi Bankan citrus and lemon provide a bright, refreshing citrus character, while generous additions of the citrus-forward hops Zumo, Columbus, and Centennial contribute lime and grapefruit-like aromas. The beer is designed around a clean finish, with subtle sweetness from malt and agave.

Scott Murphy is known for his bass and vocal work with bands including ALLiSTER and MONOEYES. He has also written Enjoy! Craft Beer, a book about his enthusiasm for craft beer. The collaboration offers a meeting point between brewing and music.

The day’s three-beer tap list also includes Yatsugatake Beer TOUCHDOWN’s Coffee Lager Ethiopia Light Roast Version and Swan Lake Beer’s Amber Swan Ale. Together, the lineup offers contrasting profiles: coffee-driven roast character, a citrusy and spicy IPA, and a malt-focused amber ale.

Taki will be open from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, with last orders at 11:00 p.m. for food and 11:30 p.m. for drinks. Located on the third floor of Johnson Building in Sakuragaoka, the pub offers a compact Shibuya stop for tasting anniversary releases and comparing beers from three Japanese breweries.
