Two new draft beers tapped in Akabane

At UNDERGROUND Craft Beer Akabane, two draft beers were tapped today. The first is South Shinshu Beer Ogna's "Hima Bitter". Its style is Ordinary Bitter, with an alcohol content of 4.0%, and it is introduced as an easy-to-drink pint. The other is Totopia Brewery's "Biasphobia". This one is a 2x Mash DDH Hazy TIPA with a solid 9.5% ABV, and its signature is a rich mouthfeel.

In the post, Biasphobia is described as a "pretty rich mouthfeel and a heavy Hazy IPA," and readers are told that if they like it, they can also enjoy it in cans. Hima Bitter, meanwhile, is a collaboration between "Craft Beer & Spice Himalaya Table" and South Shinshu Beer. As an anniversary beer, it is a lineup that naturally pairs well with spice-forward snacks and the weekly curry.

The shop is a beer pub and bottle shop a four-minute walk from Akabane Station's East Exit, with a Brooklyn-style interior centered on brown tones, up to 12 taps of draft beer, and around 100 kinds of cans and bottles. It also serves handmade craft gyoza and spice curry, and its appeal lies in how broadly it can be enjoyed with food, from light bitters to rich Hazy styles. Since the tap list is updated daily on social media, it is also a convenient place to check when looking for new guest beers in Akabane.
