At vivo! BEER+DININGBAR, located underground along Sunshine Street in Ikebukuro, Kanpai! Brewing’s “Arakanzaka Citrus Lager” has just been tapped. The post describes it as a rare cask that had been cellared in anticipation of its excellent finish, and the chance to drink it now is one of the highlights.
The shop is a beer pub with 20 draft beers on tap. In its calm, relaxed interior, you can also enjoy food that pairs well with beer, such as pizza, fish and chips, and prosciutto and mozzarella mille-feuille. The post also includes an announcement for the 16th anniversary week from 4/22 (Wed) to 4/26 (Sun), with a full lineup of anniversary-only taps.
That day’s lineup also included CYCAD BREWING’s “42 (forty two)” and “16 (sixteen),” Inkhorn Brewing’s “Shima Fukuro” and “Kahu,” Ushitora Brewery’s “Miyashita Park IPA,” Shiga Kogen Beer’s “SNOW MONKEY IPA,” Vallejo Brewing’s “Evil Trinity,” Minoh Beer’s “Session Black IPA” and “BATON 007,” Ise Kadoya Beer’s “Bourbon Barrel Aged Shadowplay,” Yatsugatake Beer Touchdown’s “Rock Dry-Hopped Weizen ver.2,” Sanct Gallen’s “Super Shonan Gold,” Daizan G Beer’s “Grand Saison” and “Grand Saison 2015,” Mugi Zakkoku Kobo Micro Brewery’s “NaRa Golden beryl,” Left Hand Brewing’s “Peanut Butter Milk Stout,” and Kirin Beer’s “Heartland.” From light lagers to hazies, barrel-aged beers, and stouts, the selection is broad enough to make Ikebukuro a solid place to hunt for the cask you want to drink right now.
