Camado Brewery HAKOFUNE, a brewpub in Kamado-cho, Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture, has updated "This Week's Hakofune." In the post, the brewery announced that it will hold a tap takeover at BAR FUKURO in Kamata, Tokyo, on Saturday, May 23, and that Hakofune will operate on shortened hours that day, until 7:00 p.m.

This Week's Tap List

- Kiln Ash / West Coast IPA / 6.0%
- Shukuen III Faux Lager / 5.5%
- Toki Apple Cider / 5.0%
- Kanko IPA / IPA / 6.0% → Shimakama Pale Ale / 5.0%
- 1HH (Single-Hop Hazy) Superdelic / 6.0% → OFF BELAY Hazy Pale Ale / 5.0%
- Baker's Brew #1 Journey Begins - There, in the Forest Where Two Dragons Sing / Finnish-style Sahti / 7.0%

The highlights are Kiln Ash, a West Coast IPA with a clearly defined hop character, and Shukuen III, a faux lager with a light, easy-drinking feel. Since Toki Apple Cider is included as well as beer, the lineup is easy to choose from for anyone who wants a refreshing drink between more bitter pours.

There is also guidance that Kanko IPA will give way to Shimakama Pale Ale once it runs out, and 1HH Superdelic will be followed by OFF BELAY Hazy Pale Ale once it is gone. OFF BELAY is introduced as a hazy pale ale with a relaxed drinking feel, its name evoking a climbing scene. With sahti included as well, this week's range spans a wide variety of styles, making food pairings especially enjoyable.

Camado Brewery HAKOFUNE's appeal, like that of a brewpub attached to a brewery, is that you can enjoy the tap rotation as it happens. Whether you drink in Kamado-cho on the weekend or head over to the tap takeover in Kamata, it looks like a week that beer lovers will want to keep an eye on.
