Hiwasa Beer is a craft brewery in Minami, Tokushima. The brewery operates from a renovated shed beside Taniya, a registered tangible cultural property, and handles brewing and bottling by hand in a compact space of about 20 square meters. Its batches are small, at roughly 200 to 300 liters, and the beers often make use of local ingredients from southern Tokushima.

The brewery will join “A Holiday Enjoying Beers by Women Brewers in Takamatsu” on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00 at the west passage of Symbol Tower in Sunport Takamatsu. According to the event notice, beers made by women brewers from western Japan will gather in Takamatsu, including labels that are not usually easy to find in Kagawa.

The participating breweries are LAMP BEER STUDIO from Okayama, Hiwasa Beer from Tokushima, Fukushige Shokuhin Beer Brewing Division from Kagawa, and 47forty-seven brewary from Hyogo. The lineup is set up for side-by-side tasting, making it a useful stop for readers who want to compare regional approaches to craft beer.

Food and drink stalls are also planned, including curry, meat-wrapped asparagus, fried pizza, shaved ice, snacks, and wasanbon rum. With beer and food offered together in a market-style setting, the event looks designed for relaxed daytime drinking and casual browsing at Sunport Takamatsu.
