Hiwasa Beer, a craft brewery based in Hiwasa, Minami Town, Tokushima, is now included among Minami Town’s hometown-tax return gifts. The brewery produces craft beer in southern Tokushima, and the new offerings feature selections of its recommended beers for tasting at home.
Three varieties for comparison
The “Hiwasa Beer Three-Variety, Three-Bottle Set” contains three 330ml bottles and requires a donation of ¥13,000. A larger six-bottle version is also available for ¥26,000. In both cases, three varieties are selected according to production availability and shipped to the recipient.
The selection ranges from crisp, easy-drinking beers to beers with more distinctive aromas and flavors. Because the exact varieties are chosen based on availability, discovering which beers arrive is part of the experience. The sets are shipped refrigerated, generally within about 14 days, and applications are accepted year-round.
A taste of Minami Town
The return gift offers more than a selection of beer: it also provides a way to connect with Minami Town. Located on the Pacific coast and known for its sea turtle nesting beaches, the town offers a distinctive natural setting. Enjoying Hiwasa Beer while thinking of the coast and scenery of Hiwasa adds a sense of place to the tasting experience.
A gift-oriented six-bottle set is also available, with a choice of ribbon colors and optional message transcription. It can suit both home tastings and gifts for craft beer fans. Since ingredients vary by product, people with allergies should check the details before applying.
