Tsuji Brewing taps new "European Tripel," and weekend hours are also announced
At Tsuji Brewing, a brewpub in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, the new seasonal beer "European Tripel" has been tapped. It is introduced as a “freestyle” beer that blends elements of a Belgian Tripel and an English Strong Ale, and the post also notes the operating schedule for later this week.
Tsuji Brewing, a brewpub in Misumicho, Chigasaki City, announced in a March 18 post that it has begun serving its new beer "European Tripel".
This beer was designed with the aim of combining the herbal, aromatic character of a Belgian-style tripel with the caramel notes and sweetness of an English-style strong ale. In the post, it is described as a beer born from the brewer’s “I want to drink that” idea, and its craft-like freedom, without fully conforming to any existing style, is especially notable.
It also says that elements used in Strong Ale are added as a “secret ingredient.” From the way its character changes in the glass, from the initial aroma to the sweetness in the finish, it looks like a beer worth savoring.
In addition, last week’s Weizenbock has mostly been finished, though the brewery says it plans to bring one keg for this weekend’s event. It is a piece of news that should not be missed by people looking for the new release as well as those who want to compare pours.
As for business hours, the schedule is: Wednesday, March 18, open at 4:00 p.m.; Friday, March 21, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 22, closed for an event; Sunday, March 23, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Monday, March 23, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Over the weekend, the plan is to operate both a taproom and a booth at an event in Kugenuma Seaside Park.
In a Shonan-area atmosphere, this is a chance to enjoy a new release packed with the brewer’s experimental spirit. Tsuji Brewing’s beer of the week is one for beer fans who want to experience the appeal of crossing style boundaries.
