15brewery in Hayama, Kanagawa is currently operating as a takeaway-only brewery. On site, the brewery accepts sealed bottles, carbonated PET bottles, and screw-cap glass bottles for fill-ups, so customers can still take home fresh beer in their own containers.
The July 30 tap list featured five beers with distinct profiles.
- 'Numa no Soko': a Belgian-style beer brewed with plenty of wheat malt, orange peel, coriander seed, chamomile, clove, lime from Owase in Mie, and honey from Hachigoya in Nagai, Yokosuka. The brewery describes it as lightly sweet, a little tart, and complex with spicy aromas.
- 'Stout': a deep, rich beer with a pitch-black appearance.
- 'Raw Red Ale': brewed with an unboiled Raw Ale process to emphasize the heavy, malt-driven flavor and aroma of the grain.
- 'Dodanba Ale (Summer Mikan Ale)': a fruit beer made with Hayama summer mikan. It is presented as a crisp, refreshing beer, and it also uses baguettes from Miura Pan-ya Mitsumugi as part of the recipe.
- 'Raw Hazy IPA': another Raw Ale beer, this time with citrus and pine-like hop aromas and moderate bitterness. It also uses baguettes from Miura Pan-ya Mitsumugi.
With a seaside Hayama setting and a tap list built around local ingredients and process-driven brewing, the brewery shows a clear local identity even in takeaway form.
