Black Tide Brewing’s “Second Breath” and ISEKADO’s “West Coast Pilsner” tapped at Half Yard Shiki
At the beer pub Half Yard Shiki near Shiki Station, Black Tide Brewing’s “Second Breath” and ISEKADO’s “West Coast Pilsner” have arrived. The tap board also features BrewDog, West Coast Brewing, Guinness, and Hoegaarden, making for a lineup that invites tasting side by side.
Freshly Tapped Beers
On Half Yard Shiki’s Instagram, two newly connected beers are being introduced. One is Black Tide Brewing’s Second Breath. Brewed to commemorate the completion of the brewery’s second factory, this special IPA is said to be characterized by a refreshing profile that moves from citrus aromas to pine-like notes. At 6.5% ABV, its dry finish makes it an easy drinker.
The other is ISEKADO’s West Coast Pilsner. A new-style pilsner that layers West Coast hop aromas onto the clean drinkability of lager yeast, it stands out for its light 4.5% ABV. It is presented as a beer that lets you enjoy the hop-forward aromatics while still retaining the crisp snap characteristic of a pilsner.
The Tap Lineup
Looking at the tap board inside the shop, you can also spot BrewDog’s DIPA, West Coast Brewing’s Hazy DIPA, Ground Tap Brewery’s Hazy IPA, SHIKI BEER’s “Peach,” Guinness’s Dry Stout, Heartland’s Pilsner, and Hoegaarden’s Belgian White. From new craft releases to classic imported beers, the appeal of this place is that you can choose from a wide range of styles at the same counter.
