The beer pub "Half Yard Shiki" in Shiki, Saitama, has introduced the newly tapped beers on Instagram. In this post, two beers with very different personalities are featured, offering a fruity sour DIPA and a collaborative imperial IPA.

- West Coast Brewing "The Collective"
A sour DIPA made with three purees: raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. Bright berry-driven aroma and acidity come forward first, while the toasty aroma of roasted macadamia nuts lingers in the finish. In the post, it is described as a well-rounded flavor reminiscent of granola, enjoyable on its own and also noted as a good match with salad.

- Shiga Kogen Beer "Kind of Gold"
A special imperial IPA created through a three-way collaboration between DOGFISH HEAD, OXBOW, and Shiga Kogen Beer. It is built on Shiga Kogen Beer's "No. 10" and uses American heirloom long-grain rice "Carolina Gold" and naturally raw honey "Edisto Gold Honey." Large Japanese citrus-like hop aromas, honey sweetness that does not assert itself too strongly, and the soft texture contributed by Carolina Gold, with a buttery impression, are said to create a dry yet layered drinking experience.

Half Yard Shiki is a beer pub on the third floor of the Hayashi Building in Honcho, Shiki City. In the post text as well, it presents these guest beers as glasses to enjoy alongside a meal. For anyone who wants to compare aroma, acidity, hop character, and balance as a food-pairing beer, this is an appealing lineup.
