Quartet Brewing Reintroduces Its Regular Waltzer Brown Ale on Tap #3
Quartet Brewing in Karuizawa, Nagano, announced on Instagram that it has resumed serving Waltzer Brown Ale. Connected to its usual Tap #3, the American brown ale brewed with five malts can once again be enjoyed after quite some time.
Quartet Brewing in Karuizawa Town, Nagano Prefecture, is a craft beer brewery and taproom on Karuizawa Hon-dori. On its official website, Waltzer Brown Ale is introduced as one of its regular beers. The style is American Brown Ale, with ABV 5.8% and IBU 35. Its defining trait is a recipe that brings out toasty malt character and sweetness, combining five kinds of malt, including Maris Otter, caramel, and chocolate malts, with oats.
In this Instagram post, the brewery announced that Waltzer Brown Ale had “returned after a long time.” It is on the usual Tap #3, and the post presents it as a comeback during a spell of un-Karuizawa-like heat. The post also explains in English that it has returned to its regular Tap #3 and that service has resumed after a long break.
Quartet Brewing operates along Hon-dori, a 10-minute walk from Karuizawa Station. Hours are 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, and Friday; 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays; and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The regular lineup also includes Resonance Wheat, Quartet IPA, and Nocturnal Stout, and with this relaunch, the presence of the brown ale, centered on toastiness and sweetness, has once again returned.
