Three Days Starting April 17: A Pairing Event Built Around Stout

At P2B Haus in Kichijoji Honcho, a "stout beer x food" pairing event will be held from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19. The venue is a craft beer restaurant behind Tokyu in the Kichijoji Station area, a beer pub with 12 taps. As a place that carries a wide range of beers, from domestic staples to limited releases, this time the lineup centers on dark beers.

The event features a set plate combining four 180 ml beers with four dishes matched to each one, priced at 4,500 yen including tax. The pairings are Matsumoto Brewery's `MATSUMOTO Traditional Bitter` with kombu-cured sea bream accented by citrus aroma, MARCA BREWING's `COFFEE AMBER` with house-smoked cherry blossom mochi, Sankt Gallen's `Orange Chocolate Stout` with chicken tikka-style grilled chicken with mint and yogurt, and Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s `Kuri Kuro` with house-roasted pork and mole sauce.

The four new kegs for the day are `MATSUMOTO Traditional Bitter`, `COFFEE AMBER`, `Orange Chocolate Stout`, and `Kuri Kuro`. The tap list also includes `CTO IPA`, `Jorurizaka Helles`, `Fiction`, `NORA`, `Ginkgo Slope`, `UNDERWATER :LUMINOUS`, and `WALTZ`, so there are also options beyond stout.

P2B Haus is a place suited not only to people already familiar with craft beer, but also to those who want to take their time with each glass while checking how it pairs with food. In Kichijoji, this is an event worth noting as a chance to taste dark beer and a thoughtfully assembled plate at the same time.
