Yokohama Beer Brewery, based in Yokohama, Kanagawa, has unveiled "Yokohama Saison" as its spring release. The announcement was made on the company’s official Instagram on March 23, 2026. In the post, it says the beer will be newly released on April 1.

The key theme this time is "a little break." According to the description, saison is a style whose name means "season" in French, and it is said to have originated as a beer Belgian farmers drank to quench their thirst between summer farming tasks. Yokohama Beer says it added the character of the hop "Krush" to the style’s distinctive spicy, floral aroma, creating citrus- and tropical-like flavor notes.

The design suggested by the post emphasizes refreshment rather than heaviness. What stands out is that it is being positioned as a beer to reset your mood amid a busy daily routine. If pairing with food, it seems like a good match for dishes that let the aroma shine, such as herb-based appetizers, white fish, or lightly fried items.

On its official website, Yokohama Beer describes itself as "the local beer company with the longest history in Yokohama City," and it continues to work actively on regional collaborations and city-building projects. This "Yokohama Saison" release also deserves attention as a "new proposal from the local scene" that connects the context of the style with contemporary life in Yokohama.
