Chuo Line Beer Works to Serve Shima Brewery's Limited Keg "Meyer Lemon Lager" Starting March 19
Chuo Line Beer Works shared information about the tap-only beer "Meyer Lemon Lager" from Shima Brewery in Ise-Shima, Mie Prefecture. This fruit lager made with Meyer lemons and kumquats will be tapped on March 19, and the taproom hours for March 26 through 29 have also been announced.
In an Instagram post from Chuo Line Beer Works, Shima Brewery (Ise-Shima) was introduced as the new guest beer on tap with "Meyer Lemon Lager." According to the post, service begins on Thursday, March 19. The style is Fruit Lager, and the ABV is 5.5%.
This beer is described as a limited keg-only brew from Shima Brewery, and its defining feature is a recipe using Meyer lemons and kumquats. Layering citrus aroma over the drinkability of a lager, it looks set to stand out on the spring tap list.
The post also announced next week's taproom schedule. It will be open on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last order at 8:30 p.m.). On the 28th and 29th, the taproom will also be open on the days it plans to set up at the Koganei Cherry Blossom Festival.
Chuo Line Beer Works is a brewery based in Koganei, Tokyo, that emphasizes the context of the Chuo Line area. Its official website also highlights brewing activities rooted in connections with stations and local communities, along with interaction at the attached taproom. By mixing in guest kegs like this one alongside its own beers, it creates a more three-dimensional craft beer experience along the line.
