At the beer pub Mukuraf in Shino-Ohashi, Koto Ward, Tokyo, a lineup suited to rainy days appeared.

Three new taps

There were three new taps that day. First to catch the eye was KaruizawaQ's "Along the Way" Irish Red. It's a softly textured pour with gentle biscuit-like malt character layered with notes of caramel and dried fruit.

Next was Y.MARKET BREWING's "BEER-TEX#1.3 RainyJacket" American IPA. Bright aromas reminiscent of berries and white peach open into juicy notes like pineapple and marmalade, while the bitterness stays restrained and the finish is clean. True to a beer named for a rainy day, its lightness stands out.

The third is Nomcraft's "7thRevolution WCIPA" West Coast IPA. Made with NuvoHops FreshCryoHop, it offers vivid hop aroma from hops frozen immediately after harvest, along with a fresh green character and firm bitterness. The post also mentions Nomcraft's seventh anniversary, positioning it as a beer to celebrate the milestone.

Bottle beer, too, is available in a broad range

Beyond the taps, bottle beer continues to be sold as well. Uchu Brewing's "KONBINI IPA", GROUND TAP BREWING's "TSURUGI" American IPA, "TSUTSUJI" Hazy IPA, "TARUMONJI" Hazy IPA, "BAKENEKO" Hazy IPA, plus West Coast Brewing's "FullHopAlchemist r8" Hazy DIPA, "PassionWizard", "Hop Fua" Hazy IPA, "Starwatcher" West Coast IPA, "No Ketchup" Hazy DIPA, and "Triple Cone" Hazy IPA, among others, are on offer.

As a beer pub

Mukuraf is a beer pub in Tokyo's Morishita area that is easy to drop into casually. The shop also offers food that pairs easily with beer; the post highlighted cheese pork piccata, galette complète, and summer vegetable and beef keema curry rice. It's a setup that works whether you want to spend time savoring beer on tap or pick up bottles to take home.

Even on a day when the rain makes getting around a hassle, it's appealing to have everything from hop-forward IPAs with a strong aroma, to mellow red beers with a calm malt character, to limited-edition bottles. It's a lineup that feels distinctly Mukuraf, tying food and beer together without forcing the match.
