Craft Beer Market Mitsukoshimae spotlights BarbaricWORKS in KANAGAWA TTO series
Craft Beer Market Mitsukoshimae posted the second installment of its brewery-introduction series for the upcoming KANAGAWA TTO event. This time, the focus is BarbaricWORKS from Chigasaki, Kanagawa, with whole-hop IPA and barrel-aged beer on offer.
BarbaricWORKS highlighted for the event
Craft Beer Market Mitsukoshimae is a beer pub located on the first floor of COREDO Muromachi 3 in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. In its latest Instagram post, the venue introduced the second brewery in its KANAGAWA TTO lineup: BarbaricWORKS, based in Chigasaki, Kanagawa.
BarbaricWORKS was founded in 2016 as a microbrewery and also operates the beer pub "Gold'n Bub." The brewery is known for an interior with a street-culture feel, and its brewing identity is equally distinct. A key feature is the use of whole hops, a more labor-intensive approach that aims to bring out layered aroma and flavor.
For this event, the venue says it will pour a whole-hop-focused IPA as well as barrel-aged beer. That makes the lineup appealing both for drinkers who want a firm hop character and for those who prefer deeper, aged flavors. For a beer pub in central Nihonbashi, it is a fitting way to showcase a brewery with a clear point of view.
