Dawn Brews’ PELOSNER Wins Bronze at Korea International Beer Award 2026
Tokyo’s Dawn Brews said its pilsner PELOSNER, modeled after Pelo, an American Cocker Spaniel and Poodle mix, won a bronze medal at the Korea International Beer Award 2026. The beer is still conditioning in tank and will be released at a later date.
Dawn Brews, based in Koto, Tokyo, has announced an international competition result. In an Instagram post, the brewery said that `PELOSNER`, a pilsner inspired by Pelo, an American Cocker Spaniel and Poodle mix, won a bronze medal at the Korea International Beer Award 2026.
The brewery operates next to CLANN BY THE RIVER, a riverside restaurant space in Kiyosumi, along the Sumida River. The site is known for serving limited quantities of fresh craft beer brewed on location, giving drinkers a chance to enjoy beer in a local, waterfront setting.
According to the post, `PELOSNER` is designed around a gentle, soft character, with a flavor profile that evokes Pelo’s fluffy coat. The beer is currently aging in tank, and the brewery says it will take a little more time before the next release. That makes the award not only a milestone, but also a sign of anticipation for the finished beer.
The Korea International Beer Award is a global beer competition held in Korea. For Dawn Brews, the bronze medal suggests that the concept and the beer itself have found recognition beyond its local taproom. From Kiyosumi’s riverside, the brewery is continuing to build its identity one beer at a time.
