Field Ales First Tap at Craft Beer Market Whity Umeda, Four Spring Drafts
At Craft Beer Market Whity Umeda in Osaka's Whity Umeda, Field Ales' first batch, 'Pint,' has been tapped for the first time. Four beers are lined up, including CRAFTROCK BREWING, FARMENTRY, and Hop Kotan Brewing × Domaine Raison, creating a seasonal lineup.
Field Ales Gets Its First Tap
At the Craft Beer Market Whity Umeda store inside NOMOKA in Osaka's Umeda underground mall, the first tapping of Field Ales has been announced. In the post, 'four beers today' was noted, and the lineup featured kegs with a distinctly spring, limited-run feel.
Today's Lineup
- CRAFTROCK BREWING 'Sakura Blossom' [w/ cherry leaves, sea salt, dragon fruit]
- Field Ales 'Pint' [City Ale]
- FARMENTRY 'No.02 KISARAGI IPA' [West Coast IPA]
- Hop Kotan Brewing × Domaine Raison ORIGINALS+ 'awta -Auta-' [Grape sour ale w/ grapes]
The standout is Field Ales' first batch, 'Pint,' made by Mr. Wakai, formerly of Shiga Kogen Beer. Only one 15L keg was prepared, and the shop commented that it had been 'waiting for the right moment to tap it.' In the city ale style, it's hard for beer fans hunting for a first-ever pour to pass up.
As a springtime pour, CRAFTROCK BREWING's 'Sakura Blossom' is also noteworthy. It's introduced as a sour style brewed with cherry leaves, sea salt, and dragon fruit, giving a fresh spin to the annual seasonal release. Timed to cherry-blossom viewing season, it's a lineup that lets you enjoy seasonal nuance.
Furthermore, FARMENTRY's 'No.02 KISARAGI IPA' is a West Coast IPA. From the brewery in Kashihara, Nara, it's presented as a beer best enjoyed well-chilled in a large glass. In addition, Hop Kotan Brewing × Domaine Raison ORIGINALS+'s 'awta -Auta-' is a grape sour ale whose grape-derived aroma and sour yeast acidity overlap. It is included as a special offering.
Though it's an easy-to-stop-by beer pub in an underground mall, the selection is solidly brewery-oriented. From a new first tap to seasonal limited releases, IPA, and sour ale, the lineup is broad, making it a place to check when you're unsure what to drink in Umeda. The post also mentioned plans to visit on April 7 and encouraged people to enjoy a drink before or after cherry-blossom viewing.
