The Kegs Tapped That Day

The beer pub "Cafe & CraftBeer Dining SOUL BIRD" in Hamamatsucho announced two new keg taps in an April 15 Instagram post under the heading "HAPPY NIGHT SOUL BIRD." The newly added beers were Yamaguchi Ji Beer’s pilsner "Yamaguchi no Mugi" and SanktGallen’s IPA "YOKOHAMA XPA."

"Yamaguchi no Mugi" is a beer made entirely from domestic ingredients, using Sachiho Golden barley from Yamaguchi Prefecture and domestic hop IBUKI. It is described as a beer with a substantial malt presence, a somewhat dry finish, and a gentle Japanese citrus aroma, making it an easy companion to meals.

"YOKOHAMA XPA" is a revival IPA brewed with source water from "Hamakkodoushi," Yokohama City’s official water. It is said to feature a citrus-like aroma and a sharp bitterness that lingers through the finish, making it a good fit for those looking for a bitter, hop-forward beer.
