Minoh Beer’s Seasonal "Kozaru IPA" on Tap

At Nomimono-ya in Busshozan-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, information about a new Minoh Beer tap has been announced. The beer introduced this time is the seasonal Kozaru IPA. The shop’s Instagram announced that it is scheduled to be served multiple times from May 21 through the end of May.

Kozaru IPA is a session IPA known as the younger sibling of "Ozaru IPA." According to the information this time, it is Alc. 4.5%, IBU 32. It is designed with a strong citrus aroma from American hops, a light body and refreshing drinkability, and a crisp finish. The hops used are Columbus, Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade, Citra, and Amarillo. It’s a beer with an appealing balance of lightness and aroma, something you’ll want to drink as summer approaches.

According to official Minoh Beer information as well, Kozaru IPA is described as a popular seasonal beer brewed every year for the approach of summer as the younger sibling of "Ozaru IPA." Made with pale malt and wheat malt, it keeps the lightness typical of a session beer while still delivering a solid hop flavor.

"Nomimono-ya" is a liquor store and cafe born from the renovation of an old house in Busshozan-cho. It carries more than 600 kinds of craft beer, offers draught beer by the measure, and the owner holds qualifications as both a beer judge and beer coordinator. In the quiet streets of the neighborhood, it is known as a place where you can choose a beer to match your mood or meal.

This new tap fits the shop’s character very well. It’s a good choice for anyone who wants to slowly enjoy the beer’s aroma. It also works well for a drink after a visit to Busshozan Onsen, or for a night-cafe-style stop.
