On May 3, Awashima Soko offers a tap lineup you can drink from noon
The beer pub Awashima Soko, located in 4-chome, Daizawa, Setagaya Ward, was open on Sunday, May 3 from 12:00 to 22:00. Last order was 21:00 for food and 21:00 for drinks, making it a daytime drinking setup for Golden Week. The post also announced beef stroganoff, said to have been prepared for the first time in a while.
There were five beers on tap that day. The highlight was two newly tapped kegs from YOROCCO: "Tobiuo Saison 2026", made with summer mandarins harvested around Zushi, and "YEXIT", a West Coast IPA with a clean body, pronounced hop flavor, and firm bitterness. Having a refreshing saison and a West Coast IPA on the same day made for a lineup that made it easy to enjoy both lightness and sharply defined bitterness.
#### Tap list for the day
- KaruizawaQ / Tomarigi (Kölsch)
- YOROCCO / Tobiuo Saison 2026 (Farmhouse Ale)
- Mugizakkokobo / Ogawa Porter (Robust Porter)
- YOROCCO / YEXIT (West Coast IPA)
- BREW CLASSIC / Wolf Chop (Wheat IPA)
Awashima Soko is a small beer pub tucked away in a residential neighborhood, and the post also clearly notes that groups of four or more may be turned away and that the interior is small, so small groups are preferred. Rather than a place for big, lively gatherings, it is a bar where you can take your time and face each tap one pint at a time. It was the perfect place to spend a Golden Week afternoon, sampling everything from saison to porter to wheat IPA.
