Ueno’s “The World End ‐Irish Pub‐” updated its tap list along with the announcement that it would open at 4:00 p.m. on March 31. Newly tapped are Oni Densetsu Beer’s Kinki Pale Ale (Eclipse ver.), Fauve Craft Bière’s Une Mer de Nuage Oat Cream DDH NE DIPA, and Oud Beersel’s Winter Lambiek. It’s interesting to see three beers with very different directions lined up at once: a citrusy pale ale, a rich DDH NE DIPA, and a lambic.
There are nine guest beers in total. From Fauve Craft Bière, Caresse d’Été and Rejaillir Le Feu are listed, along with Uchu Brewing’s Uchu Deluxe Citra TDH DIPA, Brewdog’s Hazy Sakura Hazy IPA, Nova Paka’s Novopacke treskute, and Oud Beersel’s one-year-aged lambic and Winter Lambiek. The lineup ranges from New World hop beers to aged lambics, giving it plenty of breadth.
The regular taps include Guinness, Pilsner Urquell, Hoegaarden White, and Heartland. While it keeps the classic backbone of an Irish pub, it also highlights modern craft character through the guest taps, which is one of this shop’s main attractions.
On weekdays, Happy Hour runs until 7:00 p.m., with Drink and Food 10 to 20% off. All craft-beer taps are included, and on the food side, Fish & Chips are part of the Happy Hour offer. It’s an easy place to choose when you want to drink everything from a standard pint to distinctive guest beers in Ueno.
