Tsukuba Brewery is a craft beer brewery based in Tsukuba, Tsukuba City. On its official website, it describes its cans and wholesale sales under the name tsukuba craft beer, made with natural water from the foot of Mount Tsukuba, and says it started operating in front of Doho Park in 2020 before relocating and expanding in 2024 to brew beer using natural water from Mount Tsukuba.

The Instagram post announced this time was KAGAI, a beer commemorating the 6th anniversary. In the post, it is introduced as a label that people have often looked forward to, suggesting it is a special brew timed to mark the anniversary milestone. The style is West Coast Double IPA, and the alcohol content is 8% or higher. This style, which tends to put hop character front and center, is well suited to giving the beer the presence expected of a commemorative release.

It will start being served on June 5 and will be available on tap at the shop. Tsukuba Brewery is also a brewery that has steadily built up its path since opening, backed by water from the foot of Mount Tsukuba and the character of the local area. KAGAI, arriving on the 6th anniversary milestone, is a release worth watching as a reflection of that journey.
