Tap List for May 12

The beer pub Awashima Soko in Daizawa, Setagaya Ward, announced its draft lineup for the day in a May 12 post. Five beers were on tap, with the range of flavors neatly divided across NZ Pilsner, Farmhouse Ale, Robust Porter, West Coast IPA, and Wheat IPA.

Beers Announced for the Day

- `the believer` / `open air` / NZ Pilsner
- `Tobiuo Saison 2026` / `YOROCCO` / Farmhouse Ale
- `Ogawa Porter` / `Mugi Zakkoku Kobo` / Robust Porter
- `YEXIT` / `YOROCCO` / West Coast IPA
- `Wolf Chop` / `BREW CLASSIC` / Wheat IPA

Awashima Soko’s post also included the opening hours. Weekdays are 6:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sundays and holidays 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It also notes that, because the interior is small, groups of four or more are asked to contact the shop in advance, suggesting a quiet, small-group style of enjoying beer.

Looking at the lineup, the tasting range is clear, from a crisp pilsner to a saison, porter, hop-forward IPA, and a wheat IPA with a soft malt character. Starting with `the believer`, then moving on to `Tobiuo Saison 2026` or `YEXIT`, should make the differences in expression easy to spot even across the same five taps. Adding the porter or wheat IPA in between would let you enjoy how the temperature and mood of the evening develop as well.

Rather than a flashy event, the post simply and neatly conveys the day’s casks, giving craft beer fans immediate, practical information about what they can drink today. In a small venue like Awashima Soko, the tap turnover itself helps define the shop’s atmosphere. If there’s a label you’re curious about, it seems best to stop by earlier in the day and check it out.
