At KARAKURI -Craft Beer & Oden & Sake- in a basement space in Kanda, Tokyo, Tsugaru Brewing’s “Arigatou! IPA” has been put on tap.

In the post, the beer is described as one of the brewery’s first three releases in the “Arigatou!” series. It is positioned as an IPA built around a classic hop-forward aroma and bitterness, while using a blend of five hop varieties to create a brighter aromatic profile and a more layered flavor. The beer is also said to finish dry with the help of locally grown rice, making it a notable first-wave release from a brewery just getting underway.

KARAKURI serves craft beer, sake, and natural wine, alongside creative dishes centered on oden. The venue has the easygoing feel of a neighborhood beer pub, but it also includes a bottle shop, so guests can take bottles and cans home after drinking in. That combination makes it a practical stop for beer drinkers who want both a pint on site and something to bring back later.

Regular hours are Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m., and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with irregular days off. For June 6, the venue is scheduled to operate from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with food last order at 9:00 p.m. (some fried items and selected menu items at 8:30 p.m.) and drink last order at 9:30 p.m.
