On August 16, the final day of the Obon holiday period, WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE in Takasu, Mihama Ward, Chiba, added two new beers to its lineup. As a craft beer-focused venue with a retail liquor license, the shop also offers bottle and can takeaway.
The first addition is Whirlpool from Night Shift Brewing. It is a Hazy Pale Ale at 4.5% ABV that uses the whirlpool stage to highlight hop aroma while keeping bitterness in check. Expect juicy notes of ripe peach and clementine orange, along with a soft mouthfeel from wheat and oats. The second is Wandering Boi from West Coast Brewing, a 8.5% ABV West Coast Double IPA with vivid layers of muscat, grape, melon, and piney aromas, followed by clean bitterness and a dry finish.
Nine beers are on tap in total today: GUINNESS, KIRIN HEARTLAND, Hoegaarden White, NEKOBEER's Shiroi Neko from the Neko Beer lineup, Smog City Dynamic Pressure, Coronado Weekend Vibes IPA, 8 bit×Harland The Hop Exchange, plus the two new additions above. The range runs from stout and wheat beer to hazy ales, WCIPA, and double IPA, making it easy to choose a pint to match the moment.
