Konono Beer Brewery in Hashimoto, Wakayama, has introduced Konono Pils V2, a limited-release beer based on its German-style pilsner, Konono Pils. According to the brewery's Instagram post, the new version was developed to give the beer more body and drinkability.
Pilsner originated in the Czech Republic and spread around the world, eventually becoming one of the most familiar beer styles. In this release, Konono Beer Brewery focuses on the German interpretation of the style, using the noble hop Hallertau Mittelfrüh. The brewery describes the hop character as elegant and aromatic, with floral and herbal notes that evoke northern Germany.
Konono Beer Brewery is located in Wakayama's Hashimoto City and opened in 2024 near the Yunosato hot spring facility. The brewery also operates Konono BEER STOP, and its official information says the beer lineup has expanded from three to six varieties. That makes the brewery part of a growing local drinking destination where visitors can enjoy freshly brewed beer alongside food and a hot-spring visit.
The new Konono Pils V2 is served only at the brewery and is available while supplies last. For beer fans who value balance, crispness, and hop aroma over gimmicks, it looks like a straightforward summer release worth noting.
