Peach Weizen Hakuho Ver. Tapped at CraftBeerSpot Hathor
CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Kyobashi, Osaka has tapped Peach Weizen Hakuho Ver., a Minoh Beer-based wheat beer brewed with Arakawa peaches from Wakayama. The pub also recommends Karl Strauss’ 37th Anniversary Golden Ale.
A softer, elegant peach expression
CraftBeerSpot Hathor, a beer pub in Kyobashi, Osaka, is serving Peach Weizen Hakuho Ver.
The beer is based on Minoh Beer’s Weizen and brewed with Arakawa peaches from Wakayama’s Hachiki Farm. This second release uses the Hakuho variety, known for its soft flesh, abundant juice, gentle acidity, and refined sweet aroma.
Pouring the beer brings out a soft, floral scent reminiscent of white peach. On the palate, the fruity character of the Weizen meets the fresh, juicy notes of Hakuho, creating a delicate fruit impression. Despite the distinct peach presence, the finish is dry and clean rather than sweet. Compared with the earlier Wase Ver., described as fresh and lively, this version highlights Hakuho’s softer aroma and elegant fruitiness.
A special anniversary ale is also recommended
Hathor’s featured recommendation is Karl Strauss’ 37th Anniversary Golden Ale, brewed to celebrate the brewery’s 37th anniversary.
With 16 taps and house-smoked food, CraftBeerSpot Hathor offers a setting for exploring a wide range of craft beer styles. The peach-forward Weizen and the commemorative Golden Ale provide two contrasting choices for a visit to the Kyobashi beer pub.
