Awashima Soko's tap list updated on March 16, bringing together distinctive beers from five domestic breweries
The beer pub Awashima Soko on Awashima-dori in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, updated its tap list for Monday, March 16. The lineup features five beers from YOROCCO, Mugizakkoku Kobo, Nara Brewing, Kyoto Brewing, and Nobody, offering a wide range of styles from a citrusy saison to a micro porter and a hazy IPA.
The beer pub Awashima Soko in Daita, Setagaya Ward, revealed its "TODAY'S on Tap" lineup for Monday, March 16 on Instagram. This time's selection features five beers that strike a good balance between springlike lightness and satisfying depth.
First up is YOROCCO's "Natsumikan SAISON". As the subtitle suggests, it is a Farmhouse Ale brewed with summer oranges, making it a pour for those who want to enjoy citrus notes. Next, Mugizakkoku Kobo's "Haru no Ogawa" is a Rice Ale, built for an easy-drinking character that should pair well with food.
On the darker side, Nara Brewing's "LIGHT HOUSE" (Micro Porter) is on tap. As a porter that is not too heavy, it is an easy choice even between IPAs. The hop-forward selections come in two styles: Kyoto Brewing's "Haru no Kimagure" (IPA) and Nobody's "The Triphop" (Hazy IPA). The strength of this day's lineup is that you can compare clean bitterness with juicy hazy character side by side.
Awashima Soko is a craft-beer-focused beer pub operating along Awashima-dori. In this post, it announced weekday hours of 18:00-24:00 (food L.O. 23:00, drinks L.O. 23:30), making it a convenient stop for a drink after work. With more tap changes expected heading into late March, anyone targeting a specific label would do well to check in early.
The day's taps are neatly distributed across saison, rice ale, micro porter, IPA, and hazy IPA styles. For beer fans who want to work through multiple genres in one spot, it is a highly practical lineup.
