Taki marks 15 years with a limited collaboration IPA

Beer pub `taki` in Shibuya's Sakura-gaoka neighborhood is holding its 15th-anniversary event. In the August 27 post, the bar says a new keg has been tapped for today's 5:00 p.m. to midnight service.

The main beer is `Time After Thyme`, a limited release from `DD4D BREWING × Scott Murphy`. It is a `Citrus and Spice IPA` with 7.0% ABV and 25 IBU. The description points to bright citrus notes reminiscent of kawachi bankan and lemon, plus lime and grapefruit-like aromas from hops such as Zumo, Columbus, and Centennial. The beer is described as crisp, with a hint of malt and agave sweetness.

The tap list for the day also includes `Peach Tea Sour` from `T.Y.Harbor Brewery` and `Summer Lager` from `Minoh Beer`. That gives guests three different directions to choose from: sour, collaboration IPA, and lager.

Located on the 3rd floor of the Johnson Building in Shibuya, `taki` is a beer pub with a sake-and-craft-beer focus. The anniversary lineup fits the venue well, with guest beers that feel thoughtful rather than flashy. For anyone looking for a serious beer stop in Shibuya, this is one to note.
