Awaji Beer Brewery (AWAJI BEER) will launch "Fresh-Rice Brew Pilsner" as an autumn limited product. The announcement was made on Instagram, with pre-sales starting on the afternoon of October 26, 2025 and the official release on October 29.

The new beer uses "KinuHikari," new rice grown on Awaji Island. The post says it features a subtle rice aroma and a crisp, light, easy-drinking finish. Sales are clearly marked as "Awaji Island only" and "limited quantity," and the run is expected to end once it sells out.

The pre-sale will take place at Awaji Highway Oasis, a tourist hub along the northern Awaji Island route. Rolling out the beer at a stop that is easy for visitors from both on and off the island to reach also makes sense as a way to build early momentum for the seasonal product.

On the brewery's official website, Awaji Beer highlights its signature traits as unheated, unfiltered beer made by hand by craftsmen, as well as an aging process that uses the sound of the island's sea, called the Island Method. In that context, this limited brew using local rice fits naturally into the brewery's ongoing theme of expressing island ingredients through beer.

The regular lineup already includes an "Awaji Rice-Brewed Pilsner," but this version puts "new rice" front and center as a seasonal edition. For fans who look forward to the soft sweetness that comes from rice, it should be a bottle that offers a harvest-season side-by-side tasting experience.
