On July 12, Akita Brewing Company posted on Instagram, opening with “Hello, this is ABC,” and shared a recap of its recent Chivikos Night event. The post said the Friday-Saturday gathering drew a steady crowd despite bad weather, and that Chivikos’ South Indian curry was well received on both days.

The same post also announced Chivikos Night 2DAYS for Friday, August 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, August 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, beer sales were set for 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The format clearly centers on pairing spicy food with craft beer, making the food-and-beverage combination the main draw.

The brewery is based in Daisen, Akita Prefecture, and was created by renovating a former lumber shop near Omagari Station East Exit, about a three-minute walk away. It began operating in 2025 and says it aims to make approachable beers built on hop techniques learned in Seattle. That background helps explain why its events are framed not just as sales opportunities, but as a way to show how the brewery wants people to experience its beer.
