Kofu's Persona brewery to serve "Kai Mulberry Ale" at the March 7 Marche
The brewpub "Persona brewery" in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, announced that it will have a booth at the "Kofu Hakkou Marche" to be held at Maizuru Castle Park Free Plaza on March 7. Centering on the limited-edition "Kai Mulberry Ale" created in collaboration with the Kai City Chamber of Commerce, it plans to serve that along with IPA and more.
Persona brewery, located on Asahi-dori Shopping Street in Kofu, announced in a March 5, 2026 post that it will appear at a weekend event. The venue is Maizuru Castle Park Free Plaza, and it will be held on March 7. The shop will again take part in the "Kofu Hakkou Marche" this year and plans to welcome visitors with its tap car.
The highlight this time is "Kai Mulberry Ale", finished in collaboration with the Kai City Chamber of Commerce. In the post, it is introduced as a glass that layers mulberries grown in Kai, a pale purple appearance, the soft sweetness derived from wheat malt, the fruit's gentle tartness, and the delicate astringency from berries. It emphasizes a smooth drinkability that opens up alongside fine foam, making it well suited to early-spring outdoor events.
It also mentions serving IPA, and a lineup with the broad range that is typical of the shop can be expected. Just before this, the in-house project "Raaperu" is said to have also been a success, and the operation style of creating a place by moving between food and craft beer is another strength of Persona brewery. As a brewpub attached to a brewery, this looks like an appearance that showcases both brewing with local ingredients and the ability to serve at event sites.
