The beer pub torne in Osaka’s Tenroku (Tenroku) published a post announcing that its sister shop, Maruhachi Udon, will temporarily end its brick-and-mortar operations for now. The post marked a pause in the udon shop’s storefront business, while also indicating that it intends to continue in different forms in the future, such as event pop-ups and service at torne.

At the same time, the tap list for the day was also revealed. The lineup consists of 11 beers, offering a wide range of domestic and international craft beers to compare side by side.

- Pilsner / Mojiko Retro Beer
- Dollar Dollar Bill Yal-3 nitro ver. / Wu-Chaw-Teng Brew
- Wakyo / Choryo Craft Beer + Nomcraft Brewing
- Doron / Himitsu Beer
- Muninn / MAHOWBREW
- Hematite nitro ver. / Bighand Bros.Beer

- Shima the Citrus Kaiju / Himitsu Beer + AL BEER STAND
- Yuzu Saison 2024 / Yorocco Beer

The lineup, which ranges from lager and nitro to saison, coconut beer, and lambic, offers the appeal of enjoying everything from light, easy-drinking pours to distinctive specialty beers. In addition to Japanese breweries, it also includes labels from the United States and Belgium, making it easy to drink through the list at one venue and compare their different expressions. torne is a beer pub located just a short distance from Tenjinbashisuji Rokuchome Station, serving domestic and international craft beer on draft, as well as in cans and bottles. Paired with food designed to complement the beer, it is the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy several glasses while music plays in the background.

The post also included April business hours, noting that “on the 19th, we will open from 6 p.m. due to a business trip.” While marking a turning point for its sister shop, it also clearly underscored torne’s own strength: the breadth of its beer selection.
