FUKUYOKA, 6th Release

'FUKUYOKA' introduced by Vi-Again Brewing is the brewery's flagship IPA. The style is West Coast IPA, and the ABV is 6.5%. For this release, the brewery used Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe, and by also adopting the lager yeast 'Nova Lager,' it says the hop character comes through even more clearly.

The flavor centers on citrus notes reminiscent of grapefruit and lime. On top of that come tropical aromas of lychee and mango, along with hints of pine and herbs, creating both a vivid aromatic lift and a sharply defined bitterness. Despite what the name suggests, the design is quite straightforward. It brings out the floral, expressive side of hops while keeping the finish crisp. It can be described as a composition that firmly delivers the elements expected of a West Coast IPA.

Vi-Again Brewing is a brewery based at the foot of Mount Fuji in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Using natural water from Mount Fuji as its brewing water, it produces beer in an environment next to the campsite 'Vi-again Village,' under the concept of a beer that makes you want to raise a glass again. Its focus on making beer for enjoying in nature is also part of the brewery's identity.

This 'FUKUYOKA' release is a beer that shows where the brewery stands today within that background. It does not stop at flashy aromas; it is designed all the way through to the structure and aftertaste as you keep drinking, making it a fit for people who want to fully appreciate hop character. As the flagship that the Gotemba brewery has refined, it is a beer that succinctly conveys the brand's direction.
