Kens Brewery Begins Serving Spring-Limited "Sakura Saison Mai" from March 7
Kens Brewery in Sagamihara, Kanagawa announced in an Instagram post at 12:12 on March 7, 2026 that it would tap its seasonal limited beer "Sakura Saison Mai (Mai)." It is a springlike beer with a story behind it, brewed to mark a milestone in the owner’s family.
Kens Brewery opened its Instagram post with, "March is finally the month when cherry blossoms bloom," and announced that it would put "Sakura Saison Mai (Mai)" on tap starting that day. The post also mentioned that the owner said it was "almost my daughter’s wedding," revealing that the beer was brewed as a commemorative release.
They also candidly commented, "Since this is our first attempt, there are parts that didn’t go exactly as planned, but we hope you enjoy that too." Rather than talking only about how complete the beer is, the brewery’s willingness to share where the brewer stands right now is one of the charms of craft beer. The post also mentioned GATOS’s monthly live event the following day, suggesting a weekend where people can enjoy the new spring beer together with music.
Kens Brewery, located in Yabe, Chuo Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa, says on its official website that it always has around eight kinds of craft beer available. A notable feature is that it can be enjoyed alongside food made with local ingredients. The official news section also announced the start of sales for its first in-house brew, "Nishimon Ale," in 2024, and this time’s "Sakura Saison Mai" is another seasonal offering worth watching from the brewery.
Spring at the taproom is the season when the reassurance of regular offerings is joined by seasonal beers with a twist. March at Kens Brewery is exactly the time to experience that "only now" beer.
