The craft beer izakaya Gahaha House (2F, West Building, Kotomachi Base, 1-10-6 Narihira, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) will host a Tokyo Beer Lab TTO (Tap Take Over) on Saturday, March 21.

In an Instagram post made at 17:20 on March 20, the shop announced that it would operate as an all-day event venue in Oshiage. Hours will be 12:00 to 23:00 (last order 22:30), making it an easy stop for your first drink on the first day of the long weekend.

The focus of the day will be enjoying Tokyo Beer Lab beers on tap in a concentrated lineup. The post did not name individual labels, but because it is a TTO, a lineup centered more heavily on beers from that brewery than during regular service can be expected.

In addition, a Tokyo Beer Lab brewer is scheduled to visit around 18:00, and a prize-bearing rock-paper-scissors tournament is also planned around 19:00, so the appeal of the day is not just drinking but also being able to talk directly with the maker. It is a rare chance to hear about the background of the beers and the brewing process firsthand, making it an event craft beer fans will not want to miss.

On the food side, tacos will be prepared to match the event. Several varieties are planned, including lamb and pork, making them an easy pairing with hop-forward beers. On TTO day, you can experience in one go the casual beer-pub atmosphere and the fun of izakaya-style food that define Gahaha House.

If you're looking for a weekend craft beer event in the Oshiage area, this is the one day to check first.
