Kochi Campagne Brewery (TOSACO) in Kami City, Kochi Prefecture, will begin selling "Konacchan Honey Mead," created in collaboration with Okamune Farm, on April 2.

The product was planned as a limited beer using konatsu from Okamune Farm, and its style is braggot, a type of mead. In addition to malt and honey, it is designed around konatsu, and the ingredients include konatsu, honey, oats, hops, and lactose. It is said to have an alcohol content of 4.0%, and its signature is a drinking experience that balances the sweet-and-tart fruitiness with the fullness derived from honey.

Kochi Campagne Brewery, which makes TOSACO, was founded in 2017. It has continued making small-batch, many-variety craft beer that makes use of ingredients from Kochi Prefecture, and in 2023 it moved its factory to Kahokucho in Kami City. In April of the same year, it opened the adjacent directly operated TOSACO TAP STAND. Its hallmark is a commitment to working with local producers and ingredients and translating the taste of the region into beer.

Okamune Farm is a producer based in Aki City, Kochi Prefecture, that grows flowers and fruit and is also known for cultivating konatsu. This collaboration can be seen as a product that extends TOSACO's development centered on regional agricultural products. It will be worth noting how the brewery expresses the seasonality of konatsu and the character of Kochi ingredients in beer form.
